Are you tired of having to fight the crew for your rod? Then
you need worry no more because we fish by the International Game
Fish Association Rules.
Sea Adventures has a tag & release policy for billfish and
sharks and in the past have consistently released more than 90%
of all billfish.
Only potential
Kenyan, African or World records and those billfishes and sharks the skipper
believes unlikely to survive release will be weighed in.
A new policy for 2005 is that all fish that are retained will be sold and the
proceeds used for local community development projects. In this way sport fishermen
are able to help the local communities strive towards poverty alleviation. All
funds will be carefully monitored and projects carefully chosen to ensure maximum
effect.
Children over the age of 8 yr. are welcome and this could be
a good time to introduce your son or daughter to fishing. Simon's
son and daughter caught their first marlin at the age of 10 yr.
and 11 yr., respectively.
For that holiday of a lifetime, a real "get away from it
all" experience, join us on a live aboard fishing safari
to the very exciting and relatively unspoilt Lamu and Kiwayu
Archipelago in the far north of Kenya. This area encompasses
the North Kenya Banks, without doubt the most prolific fishing
grounds on this coast.
There are no fewer than SIX varieties of
billfish in the PEMBA CHANNEL and the possibilities of a grand
slam are very real. Apart from billfish
there are huge sharks (Mako, Tiger, Hammerhead to name but a few),
exciting tuna fishing, large wahoo, narrow-barred mackerel, barracuda,
World record size giant trevally plus many others. Broadbill swordfish
abound in the Pemba Channel.
